Man awarded $500,000 after recording the room during his colonoscopy. I guess the female anesthesiologist made some pretty inappropriate remarks. Half a mil is probably too much and I doubt there is insurance coverage...

The jury awarded the man $100,000 for defamation - $50,000 each for the comments about the man having syphilis and tuberculosis - and $200,000 for medical malpractice, as well as the $200,000 in punitive damages.

That story leaves out that she also ordered a Dx put in his chart for a condition he didn't actually have (hemorrhoids). Of all the things that happened giving a patient a deliberately false diagnosis should preclude her from practicing medicine.
