The ones I'm proud of:

Porsche 959. I had a poster on my wall.

The one I'm least proud of and wanted the most is a Buick GNX. Our 24-year old neighbor had one, and it was the first time I went fast in a car.

My friend in HS had the regular Buick Grand National . It was very, very fast. We all had 60's cars - Mustangs, GTOs, Chevelles, Camaros, etc. We could hang with him for about 1/8 mile but then the turbo would really kick in and he'd pull away from us all.

There was another gut who had a brand-new red IROC-Z - he got so many girls just because of that car.

I didn't appreciate Japanese sports cars until I really started learning about and working on cars. From about 1975-2000 Japanese manufacturers were insanely ambitious in their engineering.

Ive never really had a dream car growing up, but this will be my first purchase when I finish school....

I know it's not a "car" but it might have been being a young kid during the age of 'Convoy' and 'Smokey and the Bandit' but
Peterbilt's, Mack's and other semis were popular with my age group then.

Snoman and Fred had it going on.

For a car, loved the red Ferrari Mondial convertable in Weird Science as a kid.

Had that same 959 poster as well.

Also had a Lamborghini Countach as well, that was probably my main dream car as a kid.

The Wankel engine turned out 130+hp in a car the size of a Toyota Corolla. Had it over 130mph on I95 once racing a Datsun 240Z. That wasn't very smart.

1970 chevelle SS 454 4 speed. I was given a 70 chevelle 'malibu' for my 16th birthday. I tried converting it to a SS with ok success but it never was a true SS

Datsun 240 Z, Ford F100, Plymouth Barracuda, Porsche 911, .... all in the sixties/seventies.

I'd always thought the C3 was the weakest Corvette design, until I moved into my current building. A guy in our garage has a show car quality silver C3. I've walked by it twice a day for almost 10 years now, and every time I think this must be the most badass car ever built. It is beautiful.

This is not a the weakest design. Only rivaled by the C2 in my opinion. This my car by the way...

You don't need to convince me. I've repented.

Unattainable:
Original LP400, before the P-Zeros, bumpers, and whaletails

Attainable:
a Series I FHC. While I wanted an Opalescent Blue true Series I, I ended up with a Series 1.5 in Ascot Fawn - snooty words for boring beige. I still loved it more than any girlfriend. It looked just like this:

Since they have priced themselves into unattainable now, I bought one of these - and I may love it more than my wife. :)

Ford Adrenalin concept truck poster was on my wall in middle school. Never really had any sports car posters, mostly fighter jets.

I was back and forth between Porsche and Ferrari. Then i found out about the Ferrari service cost, so I figured Porsche would be more practical. I was 15 years old at the time. My parents thought i was crazy. I've been blessed and owned 3 Porsches since.

This is mine. Any mid year was a dream car of mine.

Other dream cars... 1996 Corvette Grand Sport, Callaway speedster, Dodge Viper (originals with side pipes)
