Which Movie Franchise is Better

As a franchise, Star Wars. Individual films, I'd rank Episode 1 below any of the Fast and Furious installments (and I've never watched any of them).

SW
I watched episode 1 on a SW marathon this weekend. It’s growing on me. Except jar jar

They both suck, but SW has 2/3 good films. So SW by default.

I was shocked when I saw there were 8 F&F films with 2 more slated to come out in the next few years.

They have generated almost as much revenue as SW...which is incredible to me.

The movies are so cheesy to me.

Definitely between the two, Star Wars is the better series. I kind of liked the original Fast and the Furious but that means I’d give it a 2.5 or 3 out of 5. The rest are meh (I saw the first 3, missed the next two or so and have seen the Rock added editions). With Star Wars, I love the original trilogy, Force Awakens and Rogue One and would give those a 4.5 out of 5 for the worst. Last Jedi was relatively weak about equal to the animated Clone Wars movies but even that one I would have on par with the best F&F. Then the Prequels plus Holiday Special and two Ewok made for TV movies were complete %*%+.

Both had hits and misses. Star Wars I suppose but not a big fan.

I consider myself a ‘car guy’, but I’d rather watch nonsense like Street Outlaws than any of the FF movies.

You could throw mission impossible into the mix I suppose.

For SW, I loved ESB and the original, also thought rogue one was pretty good. The rest were hot garbage.

I would most definitely have to go with Star Wards. Primarily b/c I have never seen any of the F&F movies.

That’s the real answer.

Yeah-it is really the most amazing thing pulled off in movie history. Beginning in May 2008, which is not that long ago, there have been 20 movies all tied into each other with a worldwide take of 17.2 Billion dollars. Almost every single one has been both critically acclaimed and liked by fans. The 20 movies feature an incredible list of A list actors from this ERA and past ERAs. Seriously, take two seconds and scroll through this list:

Not a huge fan of MI either but surprise this newest one has a 98 pct with the critics and 95% with the audience.

Haven't seen the last one but this did look good

Besides the Marvel franchise, the James Bond movies are the only ones I really make a concerted effort to see in the theatre. Granted, there have been some duds but for the most part they are the most entertaining to me.

See all the Bond movies in theatre, probably only franchise left I do. Saw all the Potter movies, but did not see Fantastic Beasts. Used to watch all the Star Wars, but Last Jedi just ruined it for me. Did not see Solo and probably won't see 9 in theatre.

Funny, Fantastic Beasts is the only Potter inspired movie I have seen. Solo wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Just watched Last Jedi for the 2nd time and picked up on some things I missed the first time around.

Solo isn't a BAD movie. It's simply good. The issue is that Han Solo deserves a GREAT movie.

That's a great way of putting it. I didn't see it in theaters, but will likely check it out on free premium TV.

Wasn't saying Solo is bad, more that Last Jedi let me down so much I did not go. I will be seeing Fantastic Beasts 2 in the theaters. Trailer looks awesome.

Oh then I’ll say it, Solo was bad. Last Jedi was relatively weak imo but Solo was almost on par with the prequels. ALMOST.
