I am but currently in Panama City and building in Orlando and Indiana (near Chicago). For the Jacksonville area there are a couple I would stay away from but none that really stand out. Frankly, our facility in PC is going to blow those away but we’re opening March 1 and addiction is not something you should wait on. A mediocre bed now is better than a great one like mine later.

However, my medical director, director of nursing and lead counselor all previously worked at Gateway and River Regions in Jax so maybe they can help you find one in Jax. I’ll text them and see if they’re willing to share their insight.

guess I should clarify, this ain't for me, lol. It is work related, but need to leave it at that. Everything I have gotten so far has been a 4-6 month wait. Doesn't have to be Jax or the Burg, Ocala, Orlando, Daytona, as long as it is inpatient and within a couple of hours, I think the person is open

My lead counselor/program director Amy Hancock will talk to you about the placement options in the area. She worked in the area for quite some time and knows the facilities in the area. Yeah, there is a big lack of beds in the area, really all of North Florida. We’re looking at putting one in St Augustine but that’s probably one or two years away.

If Amy and you are unable to find a bed available, we’ll be glad to take your friend as long he does not violate our screening criteria (mainly history of violence or deep psychological issues requiring a higher level of security than we offer). As I mentioned we’re shooting for a March 1 Opening so it would be ideal if the two of you can find something open now.
