Obviously, I'm a big fan. I'm not going to ask for your favorite quote, because that might get you banned on here, but I'll ask this one.

My favorite is when Charlie is pretending to be a philanthropist so he tells his date “I’m a full on rapist; Africans, dyslexics, children, you know that sort of thing.”

I've heard people mention it in passing and have seen some promos in the past, but never actually seen an episode. Is it worth starting it from the beginning? What's the best way to stream it?

I would stream it from the beginning. I like the first season, but it's a little slow compared to the later seasons, probably because Danny DeVito becomes a fixture at that point.

It's currently in season 13. There will be 144 half-hour episodes once this season ends.

I'm pretty sure it's been on Netflix in the past, but it might not be there anymore...or I could have just been wrong.

Loved the first 2-3 seasons. A few eps I laughed till it hurt.

Something about Danny Devito, just not a fan. Once he was cast, my interest fizzled over another season or two.

I had no idea they're still making new eps. How's the quality? Maybe I'll start catching up.

On April 1, 2016, the series was renewed for a 13th and 14th season, which will tie it with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest running (in number of seasons) live-action sitcom in American TV history.[2] Season 13 premiered on September 5, 2018.[3]

There was one season about three or four seasons ago that was noticeably weaker than the others and it was likely because several of the cast members were getting married (two sets to each other) and concentrating on other gigs. But just when I expected them to go on a long creative slump like the Simpsons the very next season they came back with “Fat Mac” and a completely revived energy. The past few seasons have been as good as the first several. And Always Sunny has been my favorite comedy for quite some time.

I do agree it took about two seasons to hit the full stride but other than those three seasons (first two plus the one later weak season) it’s been 5/5. Some of the later episodes like Charlie Work, The Gang Beats Boggs, the Gang Beats Boggs: Ladies Reboot, the Gang Turns Black, etc...are true classics you can watch over and over again. And they are as good as the best of the earlier seasons.

This season's episode set at a workplace sexual harassment seminar was as brilliantly gross as a fan could imagine and included a grab-her-by the-***** moment that even shocked me, till I remembered Mac and Sweet Dee are married IRL.

Good summary. I think this cast has set the bar so high on some of the episodes it is simply impossible to maintain that level with as long as this show has been running.

I have a different take than RO on Danny Devito. I thought he has always played his rolls well but in this show he is great. You will laugh until it hurts with the scene of naked Danny Devito coming out of the sofa, trust me. That scene is physical comedy at its best.

Netflix dropped the show a few years back but Hulu has it, with commercials unfortunately.

Also this show is absolutely not for kids. The first year or two you will be in disbelief about the subjects they joke about and how the characters deal with those topics.

If you enjoy comedies this is one that you should give a shot but be warned this show is not merely attempting to travel to the gutter it is the gutter x 10.

That speech by Dennis at the end was so hilariously f'd up.

You don't need to stream it all, certainly not from Season 1.

Just watch "The DENNIS system" or "Mac and Charlie: White Trash" and you'll know very quickly if you want to watch more or not.

Love the show.

The first few seasons do look and feel outdated now when you watch, but still worth watching for newbies. It lays out the blue print for each character and their backgrounds etc.

Once you have those seasons in the books it’s easier to jump around and watch individual episodes from different seasons without feeling lost, or missing a joke that was set up in previous episodes.

I watched this last night lol. Where in the world do they come up with all their material.

I have no clue. The scene with uncle Jack in the episode "Charlie Got Molested" where they ask Charlie to point out on the doll where he was touched...just the reaction from Jack is classic.

I like the scenes they do with the lawyer.

So many good ones, you can tell they love making the show. Thundergun!!

Favorite Episode - The Nightman Cometh

That’s an excellent one and I even have a poster from their live performance of that in Philly. But it’s tough for me to pick a favorite episode. It’s definitely in there with The Waitress is Getting Married, The Gang Turns Black, Charlie Work, The Gang Beats Boggs, The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award, the D.E.N.N.I.S System, Mac Day, the World Series Defense, Chardee MacDennis, The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis, Wolf Cola, and The Gang Broke Dee as the best of the show. I could (and have) watch each of those episodes dozens of time. 99% of comedy’s are not worth rewatching, but the best Always Sunny episodes are up there with Anchorman and Christmas Vacation in rewatchability and quotability.

I have only seen a few seasons, and incomplete seasons at that, but always find them to be laugh out loud funny.
