J Ville sulphur water. No surprise that you have one.We have one but it's pretty much a necessity where we live. It was here when we moved in so not sure how much they are to install
I've been eyeing this one:So if I get one online it looks like there is a pretty good variety. Any recommendation?
Doesn't soft water make you feel slimy and soapy when showering, etc? Why would you want that, what is the reasoning for soft water?

Do some serious research before you buy one.
1. Tallahassee water is notoriously excellent quality. My hunch is you don't need it.

That's why most also have an RO filter for drinking water. Of course, then you have the debate of not getting enough minerals in your drinking water.Since no one has mentioned it, I'll throw out this little tidbit. If you have any dietary restrictions about sodium, you might consult with your doctor before installing a salt based water softener. The amount in the water after the mineral/sodium exchange is low, but is still a concern to some people.
