FSU women's basketball begins schedule of three games in three days on Thanksgiving

The Florida State women’s basketball team (5-1) will play three games in three days at the Paradise Jam, which begins on Thursday, at the University of The Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.

The Seminoles, who lead the nation in scoring at 100.7 points per game, open against Texas Tech (6-0) at 8 p.m. Depth is a critical component for the Seminoles this season and will be essential as the Seminoles play three games in three days.

"It is critical," coach Brooke Wyckoff said of FSU's depth. "I've talked about it all season with the team and we reiterated it (Monday) at practice. We need everybody. The good news is we have a group of players that are really ready to come in and step up and do what we need to do. We're fully anticipating using everybody to be able to play the way we want to play for three games straight."

On Friday, FSU will play Missouri State (3-1) at 5:30 p.m. before closing the trip facing Gonzaga (4-2) at 8 p.m. on Saturday. All games will stream live on ESPN+ and on the radio in Tallahassee on 96.5 FM.

The Seminoles last played in the Paradise Jam in 2016, registering a 3-0 record with wins over Winthrop, Michigan, and Gonzaga.

FSU beach volleyball announces 2025 schedule

FSU sports information:

Coach Brooke Niles has announced Florida State’s beach volleyball schedule for the 2025 season.

The spring season will begin February 21 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, at Southern Miss. Home matches will take place February 28-March 1 and April 4-5.

The CCSA Tournament will be held April 24-25 in Huntsville, Alabama, followed by the NCAA Tournament May 1-4 in Huntington Beach, California.

Niles, beginning her 10th season at Florida State, is coming off a 31-8 season that included a CCSA Coach of the Year honor, seventh CCSA Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Last season, Niles became the winningest coach in NCAA beach volleyball history.

With many key pieces returning to the Seminoles, along with notable new talent, the Seminoles aim to capture their first NCAA Championship in program history. Florida State has appeared in every NCAA tournament since its inception in 2016 and have been the national runner-up on three occasions.

Football Recruiting 2025 LB Tavion Wallace is expected back on campus for FSU vs. Florida

Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman has confirmed that Tavion Wallace has plans to be back on FSU's campus this weekend for the Florida State-Florida game.

This will be the second straight weekend that Wallace will have been in Tallahassee.

All signs point to Wallace flipping to the Seminoles or Georgia. Based on Wallace being in Tallahassee twice in less than two weeks indicates to me that FSU is the leader.

Of course, everyone in the recruiting industry thought he was lock to commit to FSU this summer before he gave his pledge to Arkansas.
