Florida State sophomore forward Jordynn Dudley was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, her first ACC honor since being named the 2023 ACC Freshman of the Year.
Dudley opened the highly-anticipated matchup against #4 North Carolina with a poke-in goal off a free kick to put the Seminoles ahead before closing the game out with a half volley touch before unleashing her shot into the bottom left corner. Dudley recorded her first multi-goal game of her sophomore campaign and has scored a brace in two games against a top-5 opponent, both being against North Carolina.
Dudley has scored six goals and six assists for 18 total points in nine games. Despite missing six games while claiming a bronze medal for the United States at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, she is tied for second in team points, goal, and assists.
The sophomore received several preseason accolades including named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Best XI First Team, MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, and was named the No. 2 player in all of women’s college soccer according to TopDrawerSoccer in the preseason.
The Seminoles will conclude the regular season with a Thursday evening match at Miami at 6 p.m. on ACC Network to qualify for the 2024 ACC Women’s Soccer Tournament.
