Football FSU's practice success not translating to gameday proving frustrating for Mike Norvell, FSU coaching staff

The FSU team that Mike Norvell has seen in its three losses to start the 2024 season does not resemble the team the FSU head coach has seen in practice and throughout the offseason.

There's a clear disconnect that has proven frustrating for the FSU staff early this season.

Sports Business FSU Files Motion for Partial Summary Judgment.

This is a big deal. The motion was filed Tuesday but just listed and uploaded this am (I was looking to see the ACC appealed the jurisdiction order).

This is what I have been calling for for months. This is a legal process based purely on legal argument. It is NOT a time to dispute facts, so it's not limited by speed of discovery. On summary judgment the parties list what they claim are "undisputed facts" and anything actually undisputed can be relied on by the court. I am sure you won't be surprised that parties disagree all the time on what's undisputed and we should expect to see that. If a fact is not totally undisputed the court is to assume the facts claimed by the non party (ACC) is true (just for this proceeding, not the whole case).

FSU is attacking the very nature of the GoR and saying that it's rights are not necessary to the media deal. I have a lot to read, and a lot of this may still be redacted, which will suck. But this is a good thing. This (and the response) will really put the issues to the forefront.

Well, we at least played some of the young guys

A lot of people were saying that the season is lost and we need to play the young guys. I think the coaching staff agreed. On offense, we saw Kam Davis, and Jaylen Early played the whole game at right tackle. Bunch of young guys played on defense. We saw KJ Sampson, Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, DeMarco Ward, Quindarrius Jones, Ja'Bril Rawls, Conrad Hussey, KJ Kirkland. I think we can expect to see DJU being benched as well. Obviously this year is a disaster, but maybe getting all these freshman and sophomores playing time will pay off next year.

FSU -- Ride or Die

I am FSU to the grave.
I love my Noles---12-0, or 0-12, I still root and contribute to FSU.

That said---being candid---Norvell has completely cr**pped the bed this season.
Seriously, the combination of missteps is catastrophic.
And imo---almost all the blame falls at his feet.

If we see all the portal guys on offense starting, and he continues to try and make everyone happy?
I predict a slow, ugly finish to his career at FSU.

He has lost part of the locker room, imo, and his momentum on the recruiting trail as a HC and program builder has grinded to a halt.

Ugly, but true.

Still love my Noles, and I do hope he rights the ship, but he would need to change his approach, and I don't see him doing that.
He strikes me as a guy that tries too hard to be a player's coach first.
