Florida State learned on Thursday that it is no longer in the running for four-star edge prospect Zavion Griffin-Haynes. The Rolesville (NC) High product announced this afternoon that he has committed to North Carolina and Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick.
Griffin-Haynes had narrowed his choices down to FSU, UGA, UNC and Nebraska in late May. It remains unclear whether or not he will still take his official visit with the Seminoles.
His brother Jayden Griffin-Haynes who was also being recruited by FSU committed to the Tar Heels as well.
