What did you expect for $3.89? A bunch of petunias?
It's fallen on the NYMEX the last two days. With summer driving season about to be over, hopefully the price will fall some. It has $.07 a gallon here since Wednesday.

OPEC has cut production twice this summer already. Couple that with unscheduled shutdowns for maintenance and extreme heat at the refineries causing the stockpiles to shrink make prices rise.
If you want to argue those unscheduled maintenance shutdowns were the oil companies way of manipulating the market, you might have a point.

That's crazy. Wages must be 10x what other parts of the country are with lower cost of living.
200k a year as a teacher isn't bad. They should all make that much. Average teachers salary in Florida is 51k according to world population review.
$4.05 at Costco today in the Chicago burbs. Paid $3.30 last week in Ohio. The whole thing is a scheme.
3.89 at PCB on Monday and was shocked it had gone up that much while I was away. Dropped to 3.69 today likely cause all the tourists went home (Thank God).
I always swore I would never join the Buccee's cult but their gas is consistently 20 to 30 cents cheaper than everywhere else and I now have an hour commute 3-4 days a week...That's me on the left...
They're right next to each other at the location where I go..

Per-gallon gas price conversations are generally depressing. The conversations are typically motivated by political allegiance but expose people involved as those who do not budget properly, those who are affected by a minor budgetary fluctuation, or those who passively aggressively enjoy complaining, all descriptive of a person struggling.
3.79 in Cape Coral yesterday. But in fairness, it was prolly cheaper down the road at Sam's. I don't mind paying the extra for convenience. In and out at my local 7-11.
