Bobby Bowden’s last year was 2009 with a record of 7-6 & ending in a Gator Bowl won against W Virginia after Bobby was forced out by T K Wetherel and J Smith.

2007 - 2009 Jimbo Fisher was Coach-in-Waiting after being hand picked by Bobby and his son Terry to be his successor.

Jimbo took over the helm in 2010 (10-4 with Bobby’s players), 2011 (9-4 with mixed players), 2012 (12-2) * 2013 (14-0 won Natty) 2014 (13-1) 2015 (10-3), 2016 (10-3), 2017 (5-6 asked to leave)

* Latest year for APR (Overall GPA’s) released and in 2012 - prior to latest FSU National Championship and just 6 mths after Ethan was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia - FSU had next to the last lowest GPA for Football in CFB.

exhibit A = Jimbo was never into grades or making his team go to class.

1997 is when John Swofford took over as Commissioner of the ACC. The officiating in the conference has historically been bad but since his taking the reign the bias has been especially blatant.

Jimbo and Candi’s Divorce was final in January, 2014 but he had filed in July of 2013. It was aired in the court of public opinion because there were ideas abounding due to the 2 paramours tied to Candi in the court proceedings, Taylor Jacobs, ex Gator & Owen Long, ex FSU Tennis Coach & Golden Eagle Country Club Tennis Pro. In those court proceedings they asked for text messages between Candi & Taylor dating back to June, 2013.

Jimbo was a good recruiter (in some areas) but his troubles began the year of the National Championship as far as his attitude change. His attitude towards the grades has been an ongoing thing all along. Because of the recruiting in some areas - the talent alone carried the program through 2016 but the cracks were there. The peak hit in 2017 and the program is now suffering the consequences of Jimbo’s stubbornness in keeping his assistants that were not adequate to coach, recruit and oversee the players.

Now the grades situation compounded with the cesspool culture still roiling in the locker room brings us to where we are today as a program.

This not to say Taggart has no blame because he has his share to answer for but it is not all on him. He was left with a whole lot of nothing and a lot of garbage to sort out!
