Wanted to share a few things we are hearing from the practice field.

* The two young quarterbacks (Rodemaker, Purdy) are getting a good number of reps in practice. We've been hearing positive reports on both. This does not mean that Blackman isn't starting, but it sure sounds like both freshmen will see reps this Saturday. The big question is how many reps and which QB sees the field first.

* Don't know details, but hearing scuttlebutt that several younger players will see significant playing time. Good chance that includes Lawrance Toafili, Kentron Poitier, Robert Scott, Jr., Amari Gainer, Stephen Dix Jr. and Brendan Gant

* Both DE Joshua Kaindoh and DB Hamsah Nasirildeen are cleared medically. At this point, it's really up to them whether they want to suit up and play. For obvious reasons, both are being extremely cautious since they have pro careers to look forward to. So, just because they can play doesn't mean one or both will. Kaindoh is probably more likely to play since by his own admission, NFL scouts need to see more film on him. If Nasirildeen doesn't play Saturday it could be that he decides to shut it down for the season and focus on the draft.

* Travis Jay is out for this Saturday's game. We hear he will probably miss at least one more game (Notre Dame) but could be back after that (TBA).
