They need to improve the system to allow these kids more flexibility to return to school if they are not going to be drafted within the first 3 rounds or so.
The tough part is that they normally have to make this extremely tough decision before the end of January, and once they declare for the draft, coaches need to fill their roster spot, and signing day is shortly afterward.
So, even if these kids could return to school, their roster spot would most likely be filled by a recruit. Catch 22.
