An abbreviated GBU recap. Mainly because I was playing a show so it was hard to follow along and take away much detail made harder by a crap wi-fi in the facility.
IMO it was that stretch in the the 1st half where we had something like four straight threes giving us something like a 30-27 lead. Held them off after that.
Overall shot well for the game, but it was a tail of two halves. The second half was not good especially from behind the arc. Just 1-9. Thankfully Temple was not much better from line shooting 2-13. FT shooting was a lot better in the second period (12-15).
Temple had been averaging less than 10 turnovers per game. FSU forced them into 14.
Outscored them in every category. Points in the paint. Fast break points. Second chance. Etc.
I got the feeling we did not pass the ball on offense so well.
5-1 on the season. Kenpom does not think too much of that record though as the Seminoles' SOS is ranked 200th according to them. Overall FSU is ranked 79th. But we are still 5-1.
UMass is next. Tomorrow at 3:30 PM. The 60 second men are 1-3 but will be playing Temple today. Their last game was a week ago, a 75-71 loss to Hofstra.
