I mention this in posts once in a while when it seems appropriate.....Back when they were saying there were questions about whether teams would take Winston because of off field questions, I asked my nephew.....about it...
My nephew has been a pro scout, and Director of pro scouting for two different teams and is currently an Assistant Coordinator in the NFL......
He told me at the time if a player was good enough as was the case with Winston, it would take video evidence and a confession to stop a team from drafting him (he was overemphasizing to make a point)....He says they have professional staff that works with these players, and that the fear of losing the money for most of them, will drive them to listen and follow through. There are exceptions to this rule, but teams usually don't find out until after they are drafted because the have such success getting players to conform. You hear about the exceptions but he says the successes dwarf the problems......you just don't hear about them. Interpret all of this to mean, Cook will be drafted based on his talent.....and his character will have little if any impact on his draft status....unless he shows up for the combine packing....
