I am aware that ACC officials referee our scrimmages. A few questions I hope @Bob Ferrante or @JerryKutz can answer:
1. are these the same game officials we see in the fall? I assume so, but would like to know for sure;
2. does FSU pay them to show up, or are they compensated by the ACC since they presumably do this for all other schools too?;
3. to what extent do the officials socialize with FSU coaches/leaders? Are there lunches or dinners or happy hours where these folks get to know each other on some personal level? Or is it a very rigid “game day drill” where they zip in and zip out of town quite anonymously?
Just curious. Thanks.
