I think the "victory screech" is because we traditionally win a lot...Also, it kinda sounds like a Native American yell. As far as N.C. State goes, as @GoNolesTX asked earlier, perhaps it's because they're howling similarly to a wolf pack?

I enjoyed it. The only two I didn’t “get” was Pitt and Boston College. No clue how those connect.

Not positive, but I think Pitt's alludes to them throwing a monkey wrench into plans for an even higher stakes ACC Championship game, and BC's could be referring to them lobbying to get in the league a few years back.
