On paper, FSU may not have the best power or pitching in this year's WCWS. But it definitely creates the most chaos on the bases. FSU's offensive approach which values speed, doubles and pressuring the opposing team has worked wonders for the Seminoles. I talked to Travis Wilson, Devyn Flaherty and Amaya Ross about the construction of this offensive approach and how important it could be on the Women's College World Series stage.

Good stuff. Intensity and tenacity are 2 team characteristics that come to mind watching this squad and I think they are the essential drivers of the aggressiveness on the bases. With Fielding and batting, you necessarily have to be more measured; i.e. too much aggression in the batter's box can get you struck out quick; charging a grounder w/ reckless abandon leads to errors. But when FSU gals get on base, they can be intentionally tenacious and don't have to hold back. Makes them fun to watch.
