My must watch movies each year:

Christmas Vacation (I see you CB)
Grinch
Elf
Scrooged (Bill Murray)
Trading Places
Die Hard
Polar Express (kids)

Used to like Family Man...but no more, can’t do it.

I have already watched Silent Night Deadly Night (parts 1 and 2) and last year we added The Night Before to our usual repertoire.

The only two movies I watch literally every year is the animated Grinch and Christmas Vacation. We do watch Nightmare before Christmas every year (and as you probably remember went out last year to LA to see it performed live by every voice actor and the LA orchestra) but that’s between the two so I don’t necessarily count it. We do that and go see the live musical of Grinchmas-Wholiday Spectacular at Universal every year. That’s the extent of it for me.

I do like the Christmas Story, Scrooged, Home Alone, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Elf, Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph but those are more like an every 3-5 year watch not an annual watch.

I watch most of the normal Christmas fare, as I am a big fan of the "genre". I watched "The
Holiday" a few times before I realized it was "Christmas movie season" - it is appropriately sappy but strikes enough of a chord with me. The "Jack and Kate" half is the better of the 2 plots...and Eli Wallach rules.

A relatively unpopular movie has been doing it for me this year - often silly, very predictable, but still sweet enough to want to stay on the ride until it ends. It's Surviving Christmas, with Affleck, Applegate, Gandolfini, and a few others. It's never going to be considered a classic, but we have all seen "the classics" 20+ times.

Mine are:
A Christmas Story
The Grinch (cartoon)
Rudolph
Elf
Die Hard (asterisk of course, is it a Christmas movie)

The one I’m indifferent about is Christmas Vacation. It’s just not that funny to me— it’s almost like they try to hard to be funny and it doesn’t age well (IMO).

Surprised no one in here likes Its A Wonderful Life.

Also Love Actually.

The Family Stone is underrated IMO. The dinner scene is filmed so well you feel like you are there.

I know this is way out in left field, but Stalag 17...war movie, think “Christmas with the Nazis.”

In terms of more traditional movies, Charlie Brown of course, Emmit Otter’s Jugband Christmas (a true gem from Jim Henson), every version of Scrooge that I can find, Christmas Vacation, and A Christmas Story.

I like it’s a Wonderful Life. Can’t say I watch it every year though.

One movie I left off my list that I do watch every year is The Christmas Story...only on Christmas Day though.

Does anyone else have a wife/gf that's addicted to any of the endless stream of sappy generic romantically-themed holiday season movies on Hallmark and similar networks?

I'm on the verge of becoming physically ill. I try to focus on games I'm streaming on my laptop, but I can't avoid being inundated by this crap. Worried I'm going to start growing breasts soon (no pics!).

At least you'll have something to play with while you're watching those movies.

Wife and daughter watch something terrible from the Hallmark channel nearly every night since they started running bad Xmas movies.

She also watches The Santa Clause 1 and 2 over and over.
