It's getting old, especially seeing every not to be named teams games' on

Better get used to it. Would not surprise me at all with the ESPN deal that football games get put on there. I hope they start putting baseball games at least online, now that would actually be a benefit

Most of the baseball games were shown online last year. The ACC Network was good for baseball and softball last year.

Baseball has been online for years.

chrome cast is your friend...will be watching it on my big screen tonight
This.
Chromecast is a great $35 investment, for sports and beyond.

That said, ACC has to do something to get its teams a little more exposure. I get FSU-wf on the internet but FSU-scum, no way.

but if i am out having cocktail then i am reduced to watching on my phone, i give up before that...

Piped into my TV or streamed through Apple TV, just like a normal game for me on the big screen

I use chromecast and love it but this game is on DirecTV ch 790 ESPE college extra. Part of the sports package we pay about $10 more for.

It’s funny when people complain about these games that responses often miss the point. But are helpful in offering solutions like Chromecast WatchESPN app but generally the OP is not asking how to watch the game but pointing out another underrepresented game and the disparity of the games that are in the linear networks which offer better broadcasts.

We get it, online is where it will be going forward but linear networks still bring in more viewers, better as revenue (meaning the network will have to pay your conference more if your games produce more revenue), better production value and broadcast talent (for Now). The disparity in revenue and self fulfilling prophecies buy more or less featuring one conference on the linear networks gets old and does not benefit FSU’s finances well.

Carlsbad if you don't have one its like 29.95 I think..takes just a couple minutes to set up TV and set up your phone....great for hoops and baseball

I can't wait until this is over, presumably with the launch of the linear channel in 2019. No regular TV in Atlanta.

I have absolutely zero problem watching on WatchESPN, have a million devices to do so. The problem is that most of the time, ESPN doesn't bother to get the markets right, and it's blacked out for me on ESPN even though it's not on local TV. Sometimes it's the locals' fault...they'll show that they're showing the game, but they have a different game, or some totally different programming on. Other times it seems to be just ESPN's shoddiness.

Hoping it's not an issue this year though. I seem to remember that the ACC Network games are supposed to be simulcast on WatchESPN no matter what. The RSN games till get the blackout treatment though. Years ago I even had it on a football game once...called ESPN and everything, but couldn't find my way to anyone that could do anything about it, or cared to at least.

If they screw up, I'll be staying up to start watching at 10:30 when the replay kicks in...and having to stay off Twitter the whole time.

I have had the same issue a couple of times with the games being blacked out on WatchESPN so I just use a VPN on the firestick so I can switch markets if I need to.

It’s on in Tallahassee on Comcast on some weird, non-HD channel, Channel 210.

Games not in HD are almost unwatchable though.

I installed a free VPN app to watch the Miami game. I ran out of allowable data for the free service half way through the second half. Wasn't going to pay $12.99 to watch the end of the game. Found Gene on the radio.

Game is on ch16 spectrum cfl. Sucks for you guys that cant get it. But if you dont have an appletv, chromestick etc, just hook up laptop to tv via hdmi. Kinda a pain, but a feasible workaround if at home.

You get it! I will admit that every game has been in the app this year where as in years past sometimes it would be blacked out here (in Portland OR) because Root would show it as a broadcasted game but show something else instead.

My issue is that other conferences get better product in terms of broadcast production and more exposure which leads to more revenue with their games featured on the ESPN linear networks. Yeah, cable TV is dying but still wayyyyyy more viewers watching in games in cable than on line, plus the occasional weird blackout coupled with low production is quality (not as obvious in basketball relative to football but sefinialtey worse broadcasters.

Worst thing about watching on the ESPN app is the NBA countdown commercials. Whoever thought to have those 2 guys rap needs to be fired.

Agreed, I literally have to switch I put back to cable to watch something else for 1-2 minutes to avoid that. The black dude was in Hamilton apparently and the white dude is in his band. But wow, after the 300th time during one broadcast...

Welp, wish this game was blacked out. Just a horrible finish to a game we easily had in hand early.

Yep, I got it fine now problem, not blacked out. Great quality on WatchESPN.

I'm not at all worried about ACC basketball and exposure on the networks. Once this Raycom/local situation is dumped it will be a lot more sensible. Let's face it, FSU/Wake isn't a premier ACC game...it's not likely to ever get the call for an ESPN or ESPN2 slot. If sometimes it looks like there's a worse SEC or Big 12 game on a main channel, that's because ESPN has a commitment to carry a certain number of games from a conference, and an Alabama-Vanderbilt game may not be better than an FSU-Wake game, but might get the call because it's 3rd best SEC game available, while a better ACC game might be the sixth best ACC game available. Not much that can ever be done about that, but the launch of the ACC network should help some.

I think the production value, especially for games at the Tucker center, is about 200% better than it used to be. I'm assuming that the renovations were a big part of it or something, because those home games used to be atrociously lit. Maybe there have been equipment upgrades with the investments for the ACC Network. Even on the occasional national game used to look pretty bad, but the ESPN3 games were absurd...hard to even differentiate players of similar size sometimes.
