FSU women's hoops travels to Virginia on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The No. 22 Florida State women's basketball team (18-4, 8-2 ACC) will travel to face Virginia (12-11, 4-7 ACC) at John Paul Jones Arena at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The ranked Seminoles have won the past six of seven meetings over Virginia, but the Cavaliers lead the all-time series 36-22.

Florida State is led by junior guard Ta'Niya Latson who is the nation's leading scorer at 26.1 points per game. Latson has recently been named among 10 finalists for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year and was included on the USBWA National Player of the Year Watch List that was released on Tuesday.

Makayla Timpson continues to lead the ACC in double-doubles with 13 and in blocks at 67. Timpson is also the active career leader in blocks (254) in the league and ranks fourth nationally among Power 4 players.

The Last Time Out

The Seminoles defeated Wake Forest with a 97-68 dominant win at home Sunday.

Latson, Gordon and Bowles each contributed over 20 points, with Timpson securing her 44th career double-double with 14 rebounds and 12 points.

Latson also moved into second place in FSU history in free throws made at 457 after a perfect 8-of-8 showing at the line.
