I can't find any when I search.

I've got an 8.5 flight on Monday, and a 10.5 hour flight on the following Monday, and I'm looking for some mindless entertainment to get through the boredom.

I like "Tower Defense" style games best but I think I've downloaded just about every one available over the years,

I downloaded Zombie Gunship awhile back and it was fun for a bit.

But your flight doesn't have inflight entertainment?

Also, if you have xfinity/Comcast get their app and you can download movies or shows to take with you.

Yeah I'm sure my flight will have in flight entertainment, and I also downloaded Season 1 of the Strain off of iTunes (was only $9.99). I just can't sleep on planes so I want more options to pass the time.

You can download shows from Comcast/Xfinity though? Are you sure? I have the app, but I thought all you could do was watch things live or OnDemand. No?

EDIT: Just saw that you CAN download some stuff off of it too...mostly just a few good movies though. The TV series are all literally from the 80's. lol

Amazon Prime Video just started allowing movie downloads too.

I like Where's My Water and Plants vs. Zombies, plus Magic Puzzles for jigsaw puzzles.

Fallout Shelter is entertaining, but is a resource hog.
WordBrain is fun but requires too much thought after a while.

Here's what I play a fair amount on my iPad Air 2

Orion - Similar to Masters of Orion 2 but with much better graphics

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic - Hands down the best SW game ever released and why I bought an Xbox in the first place when I already had a PS2

Gemini Rue - good puzzle/adventure game

80 Days - one of the best scarce resource adventure games

Out There - see 80 days

Bard's Tale - great one person game that Diablo ripped off but with fantastic humor

Icewind Dale - best D&D party dungeon crawler around although Baldurs Gate 2 is close

Fahrenheit - first "cinematic" adventure game by the creators of Heavy Rain and Two Souls, as close as you will come to controlling the outcome of a movie

Samurai - quick old school board game that focuses on area control

Bastion - great update of the old top down Zelda/gauntlet style of adventure games

Brief History of the World - another quick strategy game you can play an entire game in ten mins or so

Ghost Trick - another great puzzle/adventure game

Wesnoth - good old school tile strategy game

Lux DLX - same rules as Risk but with tons of different boards

Galaxy on Fire 2 - best space shooter

FTL - a very unique game that is the closest you'll find to controlling Star Trek style space combat, it has tons of replay value

Botanicula- very beautiful and calming puzzle game

Two Dots - quick pick up and set down puzzle game

First Strike - blow up the world with nukes

Waterdeep - best card based board game ever created

Geo Defense - since you mentioned tower defense

Rebuild - good zombie apocalypse strategy game

Marvel Contest of Champions. Freemium, side-scrolling/arcade style fighting (ala Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter) with a story component and other add-ins. Careful though, its addicting.
