Anyone have the (legit/confirmed) flu this season?

My wife was explaining to me why it is critical for you to start taking Tamiflu as soon as possible after symptoms start (although as usual I start to get glassyeyed when she starts talking science). I took my first pill within 12 hours of feeling the onset (Friday) and feel not too terrible today (yesterday sucked, though).

I have type 1 diabetes, so have to pay close attention to such illnesses.

Got the flu about 2 weeks ago. Was traveling and felt like I had a sinus or upper respiratory infection. Went to the doc in box right away and told them my symptoms. They asked to test for the flu, I agreed. Well I had the the flu strain A and B, plus the upper respiratory. It wasn't that bad based on what you hear on the news. I spent 2 days in my hotel room; but could have gone to work, just didn't want to be patient 0 since I would be around about 150 guys off and on all day. I think that Tamaflu, Anit-botics, inhaler and cough medicine; plus getting it early and being aggressive made a huge difference.

I had 'A'. They actually swabbed and did the test. That's as sick as I've been in my life, and I've had pneumonia a couple of times. It's been 3 weeks and I still have a residual cough every now and then.

I also had A and got the nasal swab at the docs office. I was told A is "milder" than B. I still have the cough and lingering congestion but that's mostly from the sinus infection I got hit with towards the end.
