The below link states the Phillies camp, in Clearwater, is being shut down because players have tested positive for Coronavirus. This was inevitable. The players likely won’t be sicker than the flu, if at all, but I get the reason for wanting to shut down.

Isn’t this bound to happen with all teams in both leagues? I think the virus may just have to run it’s course like it did in NY and now other places are becoming hot spots. This could likely cancel the NBA and MLB seasons. If there is a wave two then I would have to think no NFL season, and you guessed it no FSU football this year.

How is the Premier league in England able to do the games? They just started in empty stadiums this week. I know Americans just aren’t healthy in general I’d think it has something to do with that.
What are the odds MLB and NBA play this summer? My thoughts:
NBA: 25% chance
MLB: 30% chance

Well mlb players and owners are bickering back and forth so I do not see them playing at all. I do not follow or watch the NBA so no opinion there.

Premier League? Germany has been playing games for close to a month and Spain has been playing for a couple of weeks now

Well the NBA has been soft for 10 years now and MLB hasn't been relevant since like the 70s so Thank god for college sports and the NFL which will gladly start once all of this blows over.

NBA practice starts in the Orlando bubble at the Disney complex on July 9th and the season starts back July 30th.

MLB I doubted would ever play because of all squabbling between owners and players.

It was the NBA that started all sports shutting down. That virus is not going away. All it would take is one player to test positive and I would think it would get shut down again. I can't see the players that willing to get back on the court with it still floating around out there.

Personally as it stands right now I can't see football getting on the field.

Something like 5% of NBA players tested positive at their initial testing. Silver said they’re moving forward, good for him. Players who don’t want to play for whatever reason can opt out.

Do I recall correctly that the night Rudy Gobert tested positive and that was game was postponed, wasn't there another NBA game where the players declined to play after learning about Gobert?
