Anyone watching "The Ranch"?

It's Netflix series starring Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Debra Winger and Sam Elliott. Set in Colorado, Kutcher plays an ex FSU QB ("back up to the back up") who was a member of the 99 championship team. If you like crude humor, and especially if you liked the chemistry Kutcher and Masterson had in "That 70's Show" you'll like it. If you like seeing FSU gear on TV shows, you'll LOVE this show.

Saw the trailer and even with the FSU stuff no way in hell am I watch that. How they think that is comedy at all is beyond me. Shows need to stop using laugh tracks.

It has its moments..."What the F#$* is Netflix" was pretty funny. I think its cast well, minus Ashton. I pretty much watch it for Sam Elliot, though.

It was.....tolerable, but barely. A few funny bits. Got better as the season went on because the underlying drama was allowed to move the action a bit more.

One positive, the writers used QB's to describe relative scale of how bad things are on the farm. On the far positive end of the spectrum: John Elway
On the far negative, as bad as it can get? "Tebow" - "Of course," his brother replies.

I thought the first couple of episodes with forced accent and laugh tracks were horrible. It got better when the characters just acted.


It isn't great but it has some great moments.
