OFFENSE - I get Jimbo likes certain concepts and a lot involve decision making. I get that this is successful with the right players (see 2013) but, if your players don't seem to fit isn't there a way to simplify some things? Our QB needs easy reads and to get confidence. Our most talented receivers need some things that will allow them to not be lost and thus get on the field. Sometimes when the kids keep failing to execute what you are asking of them, you have to tweak what you are asking instead of just pointing out the missed opportunities.
DEFENSE - when you have the team with the better athletes sometimes it is OK to keep things simple if that simple is in your face and pressure. It feels like we are putting a muzzle on our defense by playing very vanilla and at the same time soft. I feel like we either need to turn them loose and be more that in-your-face high-pressure team or we need to get more unpredictable. This group seems to be playing with more effort and I like a lot of what I am seeing from individuals but it feels like we are too easy to scheme against. Our personnel changes in 3rd and long showed some creativity but, it needs to go beyond just that in my opinion.
