Our defense is exactly what many of us thought it would be. Our front 4 has potential to be dominant, but our back 7 will be a liability. If the front four can control the run, create pressure, and keep contain we will be ok. However, if they are dominant we will need to score a lot of points, because we are average to below average at best at lb, cb, and safety. The other concern I have is how unprepared we look defensively at the start of games. I need to do some research, but I would guess our opponent has a very high score percentage in first drives. I will give Fuller credit since he generally makes great adjustments at half. The film is out now that if you call misdirection, there’s a very good chance that our defense is going to bust an assignment. Eye discipline is VERY bad. This team will only go as far as our front four and offense take us.
