Every week something seems to compound on a bad team spiraling downward. The OL is bad, but last night it seemed SMU players were in the backfield at the snap. Drops continue to he an issue. Penalties from 5th year players. QB play actually looked recent for a bit, then it went to crap. Last night we saw the secondary fall apart. Our all world secondary to go with our all world defensive line played awful. I’ll give SMU credit, they made some contested catches and some great throws, but it was as just a consistent theme all night. At this point there doesn’t seem to be a part of this team that is capable. The only hope now is to not let it totally fall apart for coming years. Try to salvage something to build on, something to sell recruits. It looks bleak right now.
