I think this is going to be a disaster.
don't get me wrong, reasonable prices for food and drinks is a nice change but its too little too late.
now i'm sure the stadium will be nice. I just don't think the numbers are going to be there for Blank.
from my perspective, its only worth going to the game instead of watching on tv if you sit on the sidelines, not upper deck or endzone. for the current stadium, that's about $100 a ticket. Half of the people in the stadium are middle class or lower middle class, and this is their splurge.
to pay for the new stadium, there are higher ticket prices and PSLs. a lot of season ticket holders are throwing in the towel. on top of that, Blank still has not fired Demitroff and is pretending like Shanahan shouldn't be fired also.
I think Blank is going to have attendance problems. A lot of the people who used to buy tickets won't or can't anymore. On top of that, I expect the racial make up is going to go from 50% black to single digit black.
The Braves in contrast are doing some things right, but other things wrong. They gutted the team to the point where long term fans don't even recognize anyone on their roster. The CEO of Liberty Media, the owner, was paid more than the entire Braves payroll according to the AJC.
