I get it. I hear the arguments, and I get it. It makes sense. But here’s my concern of leaving the ACC, at least right now.
We just aren’t there yet. If we were to join another conference who doesn’t have some of the fluff teams, that the ACC provides, then I can see us living in mediocracy for a longer time. We first need to get back to relevancy, competing for big trophies, competing for big athletes. Then, THEN let’s go off and enjoy the splendors of more money at another conference. But not yet…
