I figure between the Pac 12 and b10 getting left out and the committee literally reversing their stance to let Bama in when they previously excluded b12 teams, means they are going to push to increase the teams in the playoff.
Another poster did a thread about how an expanded playoff would hurt athletes even though d2 and d3 have had larger playoffs for over a decade. Considering injuries at the end of the season occur less than 4/1000 , that's nonsense. Players are twice or more as likely to get injured prepping for the combine or in preseason practice.
I think we will eventually get to 16, but at least at 8 the playoff selection committee can't do much damage with their ineptitude and teams left out have much less an argument.
