How did that guy end up at Oregon from Perry, FL. He's not even the type of back that would seem to fit a speed offense like they had. I think he was committed to us for a while, was he not?

I know he's famous for jacking up a kid but I was just curious.

He was committed to us a one time, but glad it did not work out.

Hope this helps

Considered only a two-star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com,
Blount was not ranked among the best running back prospects in the nation in 2005.
Barely recruited out of high school, he attended camp at Auburn University but was not offered an athletic scholarship.
He nonetheless intended to go to Auburn but did not qualify academically

Rivals:
Florida State
Interest =None

12/14/07 =visit date
recruited by Jimbo Fisher

he chose Oregon over Florida State because, according to Alan Hall, his junior college offensive coordinator, he wanted certainty that he’d be a feature back.

The rumor was that he and Tavaris Pressley got on campus at the same time for visits and he didn't want to compete. At that time Pressley was higher rated and supposed to be a stud.

Obviously this proves recruiting rumors but I always thought he was quoted as liking their unforms more
