With Swanson to the Cubs (his wife plays on the Chicago soccer team), the Braves will most likely pull off another blockbuster to get a SS or LF. There is something terribly wrong with the passion, fiber and integrity of sports in general when you lose Freeman and Swanson back to back. You just gut yourself because of greed all around; as virtually every decision is based on the dollar. Money (or the pursuit of) can change people.

Guys, the Mets have spent $800 million dollars since free agency started; let that number sink in.

Maybe that's the way to win in modern professional sports--he who spends the most, gets the most.
