‘97 alum here and my son has applied to FSU (and UVA and UGA). He’s stressed about the process and I completely understand.

So, my question:

He meets all the requirements for the full Florida Academic Scholar level of Bright Futures and has a solid resumé; should we be supremely confident he will be admitted to FSU?

He doesn’t find out until 2/18.

Figuring out the FSU admissions is a study in frustration. My daughter and a 3.9 non weighted HS GPA and earn her AA with a 3.8gpa with a main emphasis in the sciences. She applied for FSU nursing program and did not get in. She was accepted into uf but thank God she chose another school.

I assume since he got 100% bright futures that he got above a 30 on the act?? He’ll get in. Did he apply for fall or summer? I have a freshman there now and a senior in high school who is waiting as well. So I get it.

Did she go to CC?

Should get in. What does he hope to study? Good luck.

My daughter got the Bright Futures and got into FSU...she had like a 4.5 weighted GPA too. Surely can't hurt.

Speaking to the nursing program at FSU specifically, it's notoriously hard to get into and has been for at least 20 years.
