Wouldn't that be nice?Look for him to have an elite staff of coaches as well.
I really hope they start drafting better. They have missed out on a lot of really good prospects.
Yep! That was what I was mainly referring too. Vita vea.... Seriously?Derwin being one of them last year...TWICE

Could have Derwin and Dalvin. Boy would that suckDerwin being one of them last year...TWICE
Check out his book "The Quarterback Whisperer". Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, and Carson Palmer. 2 time NFL Coach of the Year as well. 49-30-1 record making playoffs 4 of 6 years. Can anyone please help me to appreciate this hire as a good one for the Bucs? The ownership of the Bucs make terrible choices on tbe regular.
I was hoping the former GB coach would be the hire.
He did win DROY for PFF28 tackles and 3 sacks....over Derwin James who will most likely win Defensive Rookie of the Year!
3 sacks for an interior lineman in a little over half a season, not bad actually. He really started to turn it on towards the end of the year. I think he can be a monster in the middle. The Bucs would have found a way to misuse Derwin, kinda like FSU did.28 tackles and 3 sacks....over Derwin James who will most likely win Defensive Rookie of the Year!

Bowles is a great DC...their DL should be very good w JPP, Vea, McCoy and Curry....David is a very solid LB so they need to get help in the secondary after they draft Jonah Williams in the 1st round...that guy was great vs Clemson except for one play he got his feet mixed up3 sacks for an interior lineman in a little over half a season, not bad actually. Meanwhile my Falcons hire Koetter, Atlanta never ceases to disappointGood. I look forward to Jameis shutting up a lot of people in the near future.
I don't think the Bucs are 'on' Koetter. He helps the Falcons IMO?Meanwhile my Falcons hire Koetter, Atlanta never ceases to disappoint

Plz no....u win up front and protect ur franchise QB...see FSU this yearI'm thinking they take Greedy Williams, the LSU corner, at 5. They need offensive line help, but a big shutdown corner worse.

Just listened to the PC. Was excited about this hire due to comments Arians made about JW 2 years ago when they played Arizona. You could tell Arians really "got" who JW is. There's a lot that I haven't liked in TB the last 4 years, but mostly, it seems that they've tried to put JW in a box instead of letting his natural gifts shine. Both the unimaginative Dirk and a lot of the media have done this. If you listen to the PC, you can tell that Arians not only gets Jameis. but plans to allow him to be himself (he talked about grit and heart and alluded to JW's natural leadership). I think that after 4 years, JW might actually have fun playing football again and we're going to see it on the field. The media will make it something else, but I think that the joy of the game got sucked out of him more and more these last 2-3 years. It's funny, but if you read the media, there is this repetitive b.s. that focuses on the interceptions. I get it. I'm not blind to the number. However, if you look at JW's career stats and compare them with Bret Favre, you'll see that Bret had the same ratio of interceptions to TD's. With Bret, they refer to him as the "gunslinger." With JW, it's always negative. The guy really can't catch a break. And, yes, I'm aware that he's made some poor choices too, but there really is a bias there. Consider that his situation that got him suspended happened in 2016 and yet the media acts as if it was yesterday. At the same time, I've watched far too many Dallas games and not once do they talk about Elliott's suspension or what led to it. It's like he gets a pass. Same with Roethlisberger. Anyone watch a Pittsburgh game and hear the announcers talk about how many times he was accused of sexual assault or settled a civil suit? Yet, with JW, it's constant and continuous.
Ok -- rant over. I will say that I have no doubt that unlike Koetter, Arians will bring out the absolute best in Jameis and will actually create an Offense that celebrates all of his gifts. Looking forward to next season.

From the Buc's webiste:
“What does the perfect NFL quarterback look like?” Arians asks in his book. “It begins with something you can’t see. He must have heart – a big heart, a lion’s heart, a heart that beats for an entire franchise.”
You’d be hard-pressed to find a guy with more heart than Winston, both on and off the field. He gives impassioned pep talks to his teammates and is always the first to celebrate with one should he make a spectacular play. Even when he was on the bench as the Bucs went in favor of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 10 at home against the Washington Redskins, Winston was first off the sideline to congratulate Fitzpatrick on a great third-down play in which Fitz actually threw a block for running back Jacquizz Rodgers en route to the first down. Off the field, Winston started his Jameis Winston’s Dream Forever Foundation that aims to improve quality of life for financially disadvantaged children. He’s always participating in Bucs’ sponsored community events, as well, showing the love he has for the community he’s in.
