I never cease to be amazed at the lengths people will go to chase what they perceive is a "good deal."

At the Build A Bear locations here in Middle Tennessee, people started lining up two hours before the stores opened, and then had to wait over three hours to get in. How much do those bears cost? Maybe $50? smh

Some of their cheaper bears you can get for about $15. The bear isn't usually what is so expensive, it is the accessories you buy with the bear. From my understanding it was only pay your age for the bear, everything else was regular price.

Here in the Atlanta area we knew someone that went and waited a couple hours. The girl is 14, so essentially she received a discount of maybe $10.

The Build A Bear at Destin Commons had a line that wrapped around the outside of the store at 4:00 pm in 90+ heat. It's one thing to wait for hours on line with a child in pleasant weather. It's another completely in those temps.

Both are torture...but to save $10? Not even this cheapskate would do that.

Playing with stuffed animals at 14? I guess it's better than getting knocked up.
