I'm going to the game and praying for the best. Haven't been to Tally for a noon game in many years. What are the best options near the stadium for breakfast with some adult beverages? Is Jim and Milt's still a decent option? We will just do our own at tailgate if no good options.

Since you said breakfast plus booze the best option within walking distance is Coosh's. Really good beignets and both boudin grits and shrimp & grits plus some more standard brekky options. Then add in a good beer selection plus good mimosas, Irish coffees and bloody Mary's. It's next to Madison Social so pretty much right next to the stadium.

If you want to drink your own booze after brekkie the best option in walking distance is Maple Street Biscuot Company even though it's a chain.

I highly recommend a strict breakfast of tequila shots because it's going to get ugly.

In that case let me suggest Olmeca Altos. It's the smoothest AND best tasting silver tequila I've had. Even over FAR more expensive tequilas (this one is on the budget side). I'm normally an anejo tequila drinker, but this Olmeca Altos has changed my mind. I drink more of it than any other white spirit other than gin as a category not one specific gin.

I literally only drink tequila, but very rarely anything silver. Normally I go Reposado for shots and Anejo for sipping. I'll give this a try sometime though.

Definitely worth it. I used to keep Cabo Wabo Blanco, Herradura Silver, and/or Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Silver around pretty much only to make my "famous" dolphin blue margaritas. But the Olmeca has made me a convert. It's great sipping by itself or with lime and as a mixer in cocktails (I love it in a recipe I "made up" basically taking an Aviation recipe and substituting Olmeca silver for the gin, lime juice for the lemon juice and giving it a splash of Xcolatl Mole bitters from Bittermens and a teaspoon of my homemade grapefruit shrub (you can easily find recipes for it, just use a mild vinegar like coconut or palm instead of an assertive one like apple) AND it's cheap enough you don't feel bad shooting it when necessary.

I hope wherever you went the food came up as easily as it went down after sitting through that.
