So I've got meetings in Columbus, OH for a few days next month and was curious to see what some things are to do there. Never been there before and I'll have a little bit of free time on my hands.

Or just chill in the hotel and catch up on sleep since you won't have a couple toddlers with you.
How old are you?
The short north is located right below OSU campus and has a handful of bars to go to. Generally a younger crowd goes there.
The arena district has a bunch of bars/restaurants as well.. If you're a baseball fan, I would check out the Columbus Clippers. There ballpark is always rated in the top 3 of all the minor league parks. My girlfriend likes to go to German village to dinner/drink.
Shopping wise there is Polaris fashion center. Has all the shopping you could ask for.
I'm almost 40 and I'll be there on business for 4 days. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to double check but I think I'm staying at the Hyatt by Nationwide Arena.
don't go!? That's my recommendation. So I've got meetings in Columbus, OH for a few days next month and was curious to see what some things are to do there. Never been there before and I'll have a little bit of free time on my hands.
Huntington park is right by nationwide arena if you're down for a baseball game.. Polaris shopping is well north of that. Maybe 20 min from downtown.
But I would check out the arena district and German village for food due to how close you will be from your hotel.
Looks like anything you want to do is a quick 3 hour drive away. Tour the Callahan Brake Pad Factory in Sandusky to the north... maybe take in a Reds game an hour or so away. Hell, head over on 70 to Pittsburgh and get a quality sandwich. Or just chill in the hotel and catch up on sleep since you won't have a couple toddlers with you.
Cincinnati is an 1:45 min southeast of the city.. And Pittsburgh is a good 3 1/2 hour drive east... Both are great ballparks though. But I doubt you would wanna make that drive
I said "or so"... cut me some slack. Sheesh.![]()

Have to go to Thurmans cafe in the German Village. If you have the guts order the Thurmanater. Was featured on college gameday with Todd Blackledge and also on the Food Network. Seen where the Buckeye football team was there last week. Look it up online. I love this post!Go to the Big Lots headquarters and watch them load the trucks, all headed to the company's best customers in Alachua County, Florida.
Some serious beer options in this town. Especially happy to find a place that has Rhinegeist from Cincy

Rhinegeist makes some very good beer. Toss up between them and Madtree as my favorite Cincy brewery.
I may be 40 but Midwestern chicks still haven't changed: not that attractive and pasty. Thank God I grew up in the Southwest.
None of us are cruising for chicks. Our group is 5 married guys who "happen to notice things"
The only guy in our group who thinks any of these girls are attractive went to Notre Dame. Go figure.
I believe that Honda is outside the 270 perimeter. That could be the problem.I had the unfortunate experience of going to Honda R&D a few weeks ago and stayed in downtown Columbus. But, to my surprise, had a decent meal and beer at Wolf's Ridge brewery. Good seasonal vegetable options along with a really decent liver pâte.
