I have been following FSU sports for 35+ years and I have had to question myself throughout the years over and over.."Why is this happening to us?"
First off, I will just start with just bad f'n luck.
How many other schools likely lost out on several championships by repeated missed FG's?
Our baseball team with their yearly routine visit to the postseason for decades to fold in some sort of fashion.
How many championships would our softball team have if not for the yearly pro team in Norman OK?
Our mens basketball team? Yeah they are not.usually championship caliber but, the year that that they were recently was canceled by a pandemic. You can't make this up.
Onto just bizarre world.
We had the FSU (Free Shoes University) scandal, Sebastian.Janikowski apparently had a drinking problem while he was kicking 60+.yard FGs, Jameis Winston=crab legs, shouting.an.obscene gesture on campus (OMG) and allegations of sexual assault while winning a Heisman and National Championship.
We had the top recruit in the nation who just won the Heisman dis us on National Signing Day for Jackson State.
We become the first P5 team to win their conference championship, go undefeated and get left out of the playoffs.
Now, we have half of our sorry a$$ basketball team from last year suing Coach Hamilton to make headlines.
Agree or disagree on whether he may be or may not be a good coach but, there was no.prior argument against that he was a stand up guy.
All I got to say is name another school in the country who has had this kind of BS to deal with for decades now with no end insight?
