Whataburger Announces New Location in Tampa’s Historic Seminole Heights Neighborhood
Tampa, FL – June 24, 2025 — Whataburger is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest location at 913 E. Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33604, bringing its legendary burgers and bold flavors to the heart of Seminole Heights.
The new location, opening this summer, will feature Whataburger’s iconic A-frame design with modern amenities, drive-thru service, and late-night hours to serve Tampa’s diverse and growing community.
“We’re excited to bring Whataburger to Seminole Heights — a neighborhood known for its character, charm, and strong sense of community,” said Jamie Sanders, Public Relations Director at Whataburger. “Tampa has always shown us tremendous love, and we’re honored to expand our footprint with a restaurant that’s just as vibrant as the area it calls home.”
The restaurant will offer the full Whataburger menu, including the fan-favorite Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, the spicy Whatachick’n Sandwich, and customizable burgers made fresh, just the way you like it. Local hiring is already underway, with more than 100 positions available.
To celebrate the grand opening, Whataburger will host a community block party on opening day with music, giveaways, and a chance for guests to win free Whataburger for a year.
