FSU lost to their opponent: The turds and the mirror, we beat ourselves and it sucks to see.
The Negatives:
- We beat ourselves despite less talent than the turds.
- The turds having a limited amount of key coaches is just icing on the turd cake.
- Special teams stunk worse than……….well, let’s just leave it at that. A ST coordinator change is needed.
- The muffed punt followed by giving up 3rd and 21 were the backbreakers in this game.
- JT cost us two field-goal attempts with bad situational awareness.
- O-line still needs a lot of work. Especially at center.
- Losing JT for three drives killed our momentum and pace. I really think we would have scored around 17 points in the first half if he never got hurt. It is what it is though.
- We went away from the run too quickly. Gotta stop doing that.
- Way too many unsportsmanlike conducts. We were doing better with penalties (BC game doesn’t count for obvious reasons) the last few games but seemed to revert to early season form today.
- I am not getting into officiating. It was not great, but we still had chances to win, and we did not pull it out.
The Positives:
- Jordan Travis. His injury showed again just how important he is to this offense. He came back out after the injury and let this team to a close game. Very tough SOB.
- 18/29 passing, 202 yards, 1 TD, 1 int, 17 carries, 102 yards, 1 TD
- 304 yards of total offense, 2 total TDs
- Jamie Robinson. Got beat a few times in the first half but did better in the second half for the most part.
- 18 TOT!, 6 Solo, 1.5 TFL, 1 int
- Jermaine Johnson and Kier Thomas
- Thank you gentlemen for your immeasurable contributions this year! You two were the difference in all our games! You will be legends here that started the turnaround. Go get paid, young men!
- Credit to the defense for keeping us in this game. They were not perfect of course but this game could have been ugly after JT left the game. The offense was meh. The special teams have been banished to the shadow realm.
- Offense: 21 points, 204 yards passing, 2 ints, 145 yards rushing
- Defense: 24 points, 3 ints, 1 sack, 5 QB hurries, held the turds to 139 yards rushing, gave up too many 3rd downs though
- Special Teams: Again, banished to the shadow realm never to return.
I said this last week: “Win or lose next week, the accomplishments of this team are indescribable. This team has some guts since they did not quit. They continued to better themselves each week and strove for excellence. Great job guys!”
I stand by this statement. It was not pretty but the team managed to finish relatively strong considering the start to this season. I look forward to next season!
Now onto the other games.
Rivals:
Scum/Duke – Scum destroyed Duke. Roll out the red carpet and start up the parade, I guess.
- Man, that offense could give us problems for a while. That OC is really good at his job. What? He is leaving for the SMU head coaching gig? Good!
The ACC (Still terrible officiating):
UNC/NCSU – NCSU comes back to win 34-30 in a dramatic fashion.
- UNC must be into BDSM based on the shiny choke collars they were wearing at the end of the game. Unbelievable collapse.
- This helped ensure that Clemson doesn’t get into the ACCCG so I will take it.
WF/BC – WF 41-10. Wake goes to the ACCCG.
- This is what our game should have looked like last week if not for officiating.
UGA/GT – UGA 45-0. Absolute bloodbath. UGA to the SECCG.
UVA/VT – VT rallies behind their interim coach and wins late. 29-24.
Pitt/Cuse – Pitt 31-14. Headed to the ACCCG against Wake.
Clem/USCe – Clemson shuts out USCe 30-0. The shutout surprised me. Not gonna lie.
UL/UK – 52-21 Kentucky. Absolutely terrible loss by Louisville.
The ACC ends up going 1-3 against the SEC this weekend.
Games people may care about:
Iron Bowl – The Auburn RB gets pulled out of bounds like a dummy while they are trying to burn clock. Saves Bama a TO.
- Bama goes 97 yards and scores with less than 40 seconds left. Terrible clock awareness.
- Bama wins in OT 24-22. Just sickening. Now they head to the SECCG.
Egg Bowl – Ole Piss wins 31-21 while everyone was in a food coma.
- Ole Piss is now 10-2. I will admit, that is impressive.
Arky/Mizzou – Big win for Arky, 34-17.
Tenn/Vandy – Tenn wins 45-21. Wait. Why did I type this one? No one cares about this game!
A&M/LSU – Game was wild. LSU wins 27-24 on a TD with 20 seconds left.
- Jimbo called one of the worst plays in his life on the 3rd down failure before the game-winning drive by LSU: a rollout to the left with a right-handed QB on 3rd and short. You cannot make this stuff up.
- LSU drives 85 yards for a TD to win and sends Coach O out with a win.
OSU/UM – Harbaugh gets his first win against OSU! 42-27! This may be Michigan’s year! Michigan to the Big 10 CG.
MSU/PSU – MSU wins a tight one, 30-27. $90+ million dollars!!!!!
Wisky/Minn – Minn wins the Paul Bunyan Axe! 23-13. Helps ensure that Iowa gets to the Big 10 CG.
Iowa/Neb – Iowa wins 28-21. Iowa goes to the Big 10 CG.
- I really do feel bad for Nebraska. 9 losses, all by one score. Best 3 win team of all time.
UT/KSU – Texas ends losing skid. 22-17. Texas finishes with the same record as us.
OU/OSU – Another wild game. OSU wins 37-33.
- OU QB runs 56 yards to put OU at the OSU 24 yard line with 28 seconds left to try and win the game.
- OU could not get it in on 4 tries. Game ends.
- OSU meets Baylor in the Big 12 CG. OSU controls their playoff destiny if Bama loses next week.
- However, the refs picking up that unnecessary roughness flag in 3Q changed the game. OU would have had a first down with the lead after failing on 3rd and 27 on their own 8-yard line. Who knows what might have happened.
- OU lost, so no complaints here!
Baylor/TT – TT misses game-tying FG. Baylor wins 27-24. Baylor heads to the Big 12 CG against OSU.
- The Big 12 is turning into the SEC and the SEC is turning into the Big 12.
- I guess the SEC is just making OU and Texas feel right at home. Weird.
UO/OSU – Oregon wins 38-29 as expected. The rematch is set against Utah in the Pac 12 CG.
ND/Stanford – ND dominates 45-14. Need some help but they could sneak into the playoff.
Cinn/ECU – Cincinnati wins 35-13. Faces 11-1 Houston in the AACCG. Will they pull it off?
UTSA/UNF – UTSA loses 45-23! Dang it! I was hoping they would be the playoff buster this year. Oh well.

Our season is most likely over. Let us try to do our best to praise the good things and learn from the bad things. We have a great recruiting class that might get better. Let us keep our heads up, our flags flying high, and the Warchant loud and proud! Go Noles!!! Go get ‘em in 2022!!!
