Already done. We can walk, chew gum and spread our good will around down here. We even have a social season for it. And, I can assure you, it wouldn't be a waste.

So in your example, how many people can participate? I'm sure you wouldn't want only the privileged wealthy participating. How would you deal with ethnicity. Would you verify linage and if so does say 1/1024 of Native American lineage qualify someone as representative? Or, could one just self identify?

You're getting a little to carried away here. This is just asking "would you freeze yourself to wake up 100 years in the future // take some friends and fam along for company?"

I would consider doing it. However, I wonder how long someone could survive after being thawed out? In a hundred years bacteria and other microbes may evolve considerably to the point that it would be impossible for someone from 100 years prior to function. It could be a short painful life post-freeze. Also the microbes they are carrying from the past could infect the people of the present day and cause some problems.
