During his call-in show Wednesday night, FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said RB Dalvin Cook returned to practice on Wednesday. Fisher said Cook, who sat out Monday and Tuesday to rest his sore hamstring, actually practiced more this Wednesday than last Wednesday. So they think he'll be good to go Saturday against Louisville.
Here are some other notes from Fisher's show:
Here are some other notes from Fisher's show:
- When asked to compare RBs, Fisher calls LSU's Fournette "phenomenal" but adds ... "Dalvin Cook doesn't take a backseat to anybody."
- Caller asks Fisher about UM passing success last week. He said return of WR Stacy Coley was a big part. Changed Canes' offense.
- On Trey Marshall's targeting call, Fisher said the only mistake he made was at the last second he ducked his head down (crown of helmet).
- On targeting rule in general, Fisher said one thing he'd like to see is defensive players to be considered "defenseless" at times too (on crackbacks).
- Caller suggests FSU wear white uniforms with garnet helmets at Clemson. Fisher: "Why doesn't anybody like our regular uniforms? Dadgum. I love 'em."
- Fisher said Jameis is gonna visit on Thursday since the Bucs have a bye week and also talk to the team on Saturday. (Fisher then said he realized he probably shouldn't have said that publicly.)
