Agreed. I always forget about them.
The one they have with jalpenos has made me shart the last two times I've eaten...it was several years a part and the only time that has every happened to me. Pretty amazing.

about the sodium. I have always argued that sodium wasn't a big deal unless you have high cholesterol or something like that. I'm starting to learn a little more about its effects as well. And I can assure you, I used more salt than anyone you have ever met.

I salt my ketchup and fries. I would keep salt shakers in my car and at my office. I would salt every bite of food...it was crazy. I have now cut back big time. I can hardly taste the difference in my food now as well. I'm more than certain you can build up a tolerance and become immune to it's flavor the more you use....same with hot sauce.

Anyone been to Woodchuck Cafe on Tharpe? Worth comparing burgers?

Over the course of a week I tried several different Vertigo burgers a couple months back, just for the experience and be able to help out a friend who was rating some places. They do a tremendous job combining their toppings and sauces for a great flavor experience. But I think I was paying close to $10 for just a 4.5 ounce burger with no sides. Just too expensively priced, but really, really good.

Had their spicy burger (can't remember the name) shortly after they opened, as we used to live over there. That was the only time we've eaten anything other than breakfast.

I wouldn't go out of my way for a burger there, but their breakfast has been solid the times we've been there. It's definitely a dive, but Tallahassee could actually use more of those and less chains.

EDIT: Looking at their menu now, looks quite different for their Lunch offerings. They've got 15 burgers on there now (originally only had about 6 or so). The one I got was the Six Alarm and it was brutally hot when I had it, the one I had was a bit too hot to enjoy. That probably doesn't help the comparison.

I like that list. I would put 5 guys just outside the top 5 and will try smashburger soon.

Vertigo has a specialty burger right now called the Bradley Brunch Burger...its pretty darn good.
