I had to chuckle a little with how Fox handled the entire situation. While he was walking up to the 18th green they were showing his family, including Wayne Gretsky, and were somewhat acting like it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to win. Then while Jason Day finished out, and it seemed to take forever, they continued.

I was a bit surprised they didn't make more of DJ having to wait as long as he did. Yes they mentioned Day asking if he should finish, but I would have thought they would have made a bigger deal about the amount of time DJ had to stand there and wait.

Reminded me of the only US Open I have attended, the 2001 at Southern Hills in Tulsa.

Both Cink and Goosen missed short putts - both 2 ft or less - on the 72nd hole to either win or tie for the title. Goosen eventually won in a playoff against Mark Brooks.

Yeah, disappointing to see it go down that way. OTOH, that's what Jack - and eventually Tiger - always talked about, just being there at the end. Paid off big-time for Jordan already.
