Ever blow an interview?

It's been confirmed, did not get the job.
Ah well, I can always get drunk.
sorry. You already knew kind of, but still bites.

I've blown probably more interviews than I've nailed. I haven't had one in years, but I tend to get very nervous and start thinking of things during the conversation like do I really want this job, etc. and I know it comes across on my face, etc. and looks like lack of confidence.

Then there are the interviews where I feel like I'm more than qualified, am supremely confident, but then say something stupid like when I casually asked the guy at Vistakon at lunch how much it actually cost to make a pair of contact lenses. Never heard back from them.

I don't interview well. :(

I blew an interview for my dream job and it'll haunt me for a long time. It was with Microsoft XBox team.
I aced the phone interviews and received an invite to interview in Seattle. The process would involve all day interview, probably 5-6. Breezed through the first 3 before lunch and the lunch interview. The one right after lunch was a total disaster. This was a technical interview and I had no idea of the technology he was quizzing me on. He followed up with a bunch of equally obscure questions and I did not answer a single question, partially from line of questioning and partially because I froze after the first one. After the interview they made me wait in the lobby and the recruiter came up to me and told me I was done with interviews and they would get back to me. I knew right then I was screwed. Got the rejection via postal mail a few days later.

Many years ago I was interviewing for an Investigator position with the EPA. The interview was in Northern VA, and the parking was atrocious as usual. Could barely find any parking let alone the building, suite number, etc. Get into the interview and it is going a whole lot better than I expected (job wasn't really up my alley at the time) and about 5 minutes before the interview is over, my cell phone that I had hastily stuck in my jacket pocket started ringing. I hit the mute button and apologized. Never heard back.

LOL, I interviewed with Vistakon a couple of years ago. The people I met there seemed robotic and stuffy but I've been told that is a side effect from being part of the J&J cult.
