Extremely disturbing, frankly infuriating. That school should send us a daily thank you letter for being affiliated with their college of engineering, now money allocated to us is going to them. When are we going to get our fair share? When? When? The COE has suffered enough, why does our convention center?

“Bragg is more than a football stadium”.... eye pollution, architectural trash. Why is FSU $ going to it?

Is the money coming from FSU or diverted from another source?

The Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency administers projects funded by the one cent sales tax collected in Leon County. This isn't FSU funneling money to FAMU for Bragg. This is an agency organized to help improve the community and they see a bigger impact being made by preserving the stadium rather than building a convention center in the current climate. It wasn't FSU's money to begin with.
And when are we going to get "our fair share"? Ask around how the massive improvements to Doak were paid for back in the 90's. There is a reason one side of it was named after TK.

Contact your alumni base. Why he this hard to comprehend.

We comprehend. The article is not "extremely disturbing". Money is not being "funneled" from FSU. This is a Tallahassee local political decision and 9 of the 12 representatives did not support spending $40M on a conventions center so they voted accordingly.

"Once public comment was taken, the majority of speakers admonished spending $40 million on a convention center."

This is not disturbing or woke or scary or any reason for someone to call the "alumni base" to warn them of a coming woke man's revolution.

If you want to call the alumni base, which I am a member of, I suggest you call them and ask for $40M. According to the article, no matter which project gets allocated these funds, the funds don't exist. If that disturbs you, please donate to the program.

I donate regularly, who donated to FAMU football?

Aren't these all state schools anyway? These are not private colleges, the state still has to fund and run all the state universities in some capacity. Im sure I don't understand it well, but its never money in our pockets, but always money out of our pockets

Always money out of FSUs pockets.

Actually FSU benefits from having its engineering school shared with famu. There is a lot of money available and a lot of people come to the school looking to hire based on that affiliation.
FSU doesn’t benefit from famu, but famu certainly benefits from FSU. Why don’t we join the COL as well and see what happens

Just opens the door for Doak to get renovation dollars from Blueprint funds. Blueprint administers projects funded by the one cent sales tax collected in Leon County.

OP only looks for ways to bash FSU. Last week he said he and his family were done giving money to FSU. Now he talks about giving. Is he or isn’t he? His list of posting faults is very long. Not sure why people pay attention to him as he stirs the pot.
God bless you Timmy.

County taxes are going to pay for renovations of Bragg Stadium?

So are you giving or not? Last week you and your entire rich family stopped giving.

Btw - is Lanning our DC.?
Am I giving to boosters? No. Joint FSU-famu COE, hell no! COL and COB, always.

Apparently. Very weird.

I believe that is what booster funds, athletic department revenues, and state appropriations are for. I have never heard of a local government funding repairs for a university football stadium owned by a university.

I can’t imagine the bad press FSU would get if this money was going to Doak.

really weird.
