I thought it was a bad idea for Travis to declare for the draft. He had an inexperienced QB last year and did not get the ball much so he doesn't have much good tape from last season, so in my opinion, he is not going to be very highly rated by NFL scouts. Add that to his 40 at the combine (bottom of the pack) and his lack of size and he will be lucky to get drafted. He never showed the skills that Rashad Greene did, much less the proction, and Greene was a 5th round pick. I think if Travis would have come back, he would have better numbers this year because of both Francois' experience and he would the only experienced vet. That would be a "win-win". Travis may not have gotten any faster, but numbers would have helped.
I think he either got bad advice or really needed the money and rolled the dice by declaring early. Wish him the best.
