Fitbits?

Anybody use them? I've used a polar heart rate monitor for years and have been happy, but mine recently crapped out on me and it seems all the buzz now are these fitbits. Yay or Nay? What kind?

I have the $99 one. It motivates me to get up and walk when I wouldn't. I am four and usually exceed 10,000 steps a day. It doesn't account for other exercise or biking. Next time I would look at the next level Fitbit.

I did research on these as my mom wanted one for Mothers Day. The best bang for the buck I found was the Garmen Vivofit 1 which you can get new on eBay for $50. The Vivofit 2 for $135+ doesn't have much in the way of upgrades over the discontinued model.

My wife and I have both used the Fitbit Flex ($99) for about a year and a half. She just bought me the Charge HR. Should be here tomorrow. I'm excited to try it. It does tracking plus all day heart rate monitoring. I've read that the HR monitoring can get a little wacky at very high heart rates but for normal walking and jogging it does a good job. We both like the Flex as well. I really like the silent alarms. It wakes me up without waking my wife up.

My better half just got the new HR model and loves it

I have the vivofit as well. When the red line goes across the face I go up and down the stairs 5 times to reset it.
